OBTAIN A CERTIFICATE
OF OCCUPANCY

Address Outstanding Issues
No Certificates of Occupancy (in the case of Building Permits) or final approvals (in the case of stand-alone permits such as plumbing permits) will be issued until all outstanding issues identified by the inspectors have been addressed.

 

Inspectors will provide you with a list of the items that must be corrected before they can issue final approvals.

 

Re-Inspections:
When you have corrected the items, schedule a re-inspection. Re-inspections cannot be scheduled for the same day as the initial inspection.

Temporary Certificate of Occupancy:

Under limited circumstances, a Temporary Certificate of Occupancy (TCO) may be available for building projects.
TCO's are only valid for a limited time period, as shall be stated on the certificate. TCO's shall not be extended.
