Why This is important
If you moved locations, bought or sold a business, or changed the type of your business, it is very important that you update your business license. Applying for a new business license allows City staff to review your proposal and ensure City requirements are met.

 

Compliance with city requirements helps assure that life safety issues and adopted community standards are maintained. If any business was allowed to move or change their type of business with no oversight, there would be no way to ensure businesses are operating in ways that best serve the community as a whole, or to ensure they are collecting and remitting taxes.
