City Council

The Aspen City Council provides leadership, stewardship and service to the town. Through an open process, we work in partnership with our residents to supply services not provided by the private sector in order to meet their day-to-day needs, to preserve and enhance our community character, and to further the Aspen Dream: the ideal of a community nourishing the mind, body and spirit of its citizens.

 

The City Council Budget is used to account for all of the direct expenses of the Mayor and the City Council and to fund special projects originating from City Council.

Meetings

 

Council formally meets the second and fourth Mondays each month in City Hall at 5:00 p.m. 

Work sessions for Council are on the first and third Monday of the month beginning at 5 p.m. Work sessions are also held every Tuesday, beginning at 4 p.m. Meetings are broadcast on CGTV, Channel 11, as well as Webcast live and archived.
