Motor Vehicle: Renewals
Renewal stickers for your Colorado license plate can be done
by mail or in personat the Clerk and Recorder's office.
Courtesy renewal notices are mailed out monthly reflecting
- total amount due
- whether you need to show proof of insurance
Use the
blue mailing label from your renewal notice postcard (or address an envelope) and mail to:

Include:
- payment
- renewal notice (this shows what vehicle the payment covers) or license plate number.
- proof of insurance, if required. See "insurance" for acceptable proof.
When renewing in person, it is not necessary to bring in the renewal notice.
If you mailed in your payment, your new stickers and registration will
be mailed to you in approximately a week after receipt of your payment.
Please note that if for some reason you do not receive the courtesy
renewal notice, it is still your responsibility for the timely renewal
of your registration.
