The Recording Department is responsible for recording and indexing documents to make them a permanent public record. Examples include: warranty deeds, deeds of trust, quit claim deeds, subdivision plats, military discharges, liens, judgments, etc. The recording fees vary depending upon the type of document, and number of pages. In addition, the Recording Department is also responsible for issuing marriage and civil union licenses.
Our online public records search covers all indexing data (no images) from recorded
documents between November, 1977 to current.
If you interested in having access to the document images online; those are available
through our paid web and ftp services.
Document copies can be obtained by using our copy request eForm or by stopping by our
office and using the public research room.
Escrow agents are those who have set up pre-paid accounts with us for our document copy
and recording services. Anytime you have a fee based transaction with us, the money is
withdrawn from your escrow account saving you time. The escrow agent login service
allows you to view your current balance and transaction history directly online. To open an
escrow account complete the Escrow Account Registration form and hand deliver or mail with
your check and we will set up your account. (Credit cards are not accepted for this service).
There is no minimum dollar amount to set up an escrow account.
