The 2015 Municipal Election will be a mail ballot election. Registered
voters will receive an official ballot at their mailing address from
their voter registration. To register or correct your mailing address,
If you are a registered voter within the City of Aspen and have a reasonable expectation you will be absent from your registered mailing location from April 13 - May 5th, you may request to vote absentee-by-mail. Please complete and return the original Application for Absentee Voter Ballot.
Please note the Postal Service will NOT forward ballots!

Qualifications for Municipal Office:
Each candidate for municipal office must be:
- A citizen of the United States for at least one year
- Have been a resident of the city for at least one year
- At least 18 years of age
- No person may be a candidate for two municipal offices at the same election nor hold two municipal offices simultaneously
- No Council or Mayor shall be a salaried employee of the City during his term of office, perform personal services for the City for which he is compensated other than their Council salary
