How to determine if you are a city voter
- check this map of the city boundaries
- If the map does not provide sufficient detail, one can go to the online voter registration system, gocoloradovote.com, and pull up your record by entering name, birthdate and residence zip code. Once into your record, you can scroll down to the listing of their districts. Line 10 of that section lists their municipality of residence. If it says “Aspen In,” they are within the city limits. If it says “Aspen Out,” they are outside the limits.
Runoff Voting
- In November 2010, the voters approved a Charter amendment to re-instate the June runoff election procedures if candidates for the office of Mayor fail to receive 50% plus 1, or more, of the votes cast and if candidates for City Council fail to receive 45% plus 1, of more, of the votes cast for that office. If a runoff is needed, it will be June 7th. Applications for absentee voting for the runoff election will be available March 9, 2011
