PSAP Boundaries

The Aspen - Pitkin County Communications Center is located in Aspen, Colorado. Our communications center dispatches for police, fire and medical emergencies from the top of Independence Pass on Hwy 82 to the Eagle/Garfield County line and from the top of McClure Pass on Hwy 133 to the Pitkin/Garfield County line. Our jurisdiction includes the communities of Aspen, Basalt, El Jebel, Marble, Meredith, Missouri Heights, Thomasville, Redstone and Snowmass Village. We dispatch for the Aspen Police, Snowmass Village Police, Pitkin County Sheriff, Basalt Police, Aspen Ambulance, Aspen Fire, Snowmass Fire & Ambulance, Basalt Fire & Ambulance (in Eagle and Pitkin Counties), Carbondale Fire & Ambulance (in Gunnison and Pitkin Counties) and Mountain Rescue Aspen - serving over a 1,000 sq mile area.
