New or Remodeled Food Establishments
If you are going to be constructing or remodeling a Food Service Establishment in Pitkin County, please submit the following items to the Environmental Health and Natural Resources Department
at least 2 weeks prior to your target date for commencement of construction/remodeling:- Completed "Food Service Establishment Plan Review" Application
- Blue prints (floor plans drawn to scale) & equipment specification sheets
- Proposed menu
- Application fee ($100.00)
The application and associated material will be reviewed and, if acceptable, the Responsible Representative named in the application will be notified with a letter of approval. A pre-opening inspection(s) must also be arranged. After completion of the plan review and pre-opening inspection, the applicant will be billed $480 for those services.
