Permits

In addition to the engineering department requirements for building permits, the Engineering Department issues permits that govern activities occurring within the public right-of-way (ROW).  Any work performed in the City of Aspen within the street ROW requires a permit.  If you are unsure if you are going to be within the street ROW, please contact the engineering department to verify.  Additionally, remember to always adhere to our Design Standards and Construction and Excavation Standards while working in the public ROW.
