Restaurant Plan Review
If you are interested in opening a restaurant or any kind of food serving facility in the City of Aspen, please provide the following:
- Food Establishment Plan Review Application (must be filled out completely)
- Kitchen Plans (drawn floor plans to scale) & Equipment Specification Sheets
- Proposed Menu
- Keep Copy of All the Above for Personal Records
- Fees (2 are required):
- Plan Review Application Fee - $100
- Review and Pre-Opening Inspection Fee - see chart below for $ amount
(as determined by Environmental Health Specialist)
This chart is an example only, and actual Review and Pre-Opening Inspection Fees will be dependant on the time required to conduct the review and inspection, up to a maximum of $580.

Submit all of the above, in person or by mail, to the City of Aspen Environmental Health Department (City Hall second floor). The application review cannot start until all of the above materials are provided.

Special Event Food Service Plan Review
If you are having a public permitted special event and plan on serving food, you will need to fill out a Special Event Food Service Plan Review Application and return it to the Environmental Health Department 14 days before the event.
