Application Evaluation Process
- 2012 Grant Applications are due to Pitkin County on August 1st, 2011 for 2012 grant funding. No applications will be accepted after the deadline.
- Staff will screen each application for completeness. Accepted applications will be forwarded to the Citizen Grant Review Committee (CGRC), a Board appointed volunteer citizen group.
- The CGRC mission is to make funding recommendations to the Board that reflect the intention of the November 2006 ballot question, which created a special health & human services and community non-profit fund with property tax dollars.
- The Citizen Grant Review Committee scores each application, based on the following criteria:
1. Fulfills the intent of the ballot language.
2. Agency has a track record of successful service and fiscal viability.
3. Serves people who live and/or work in Pitkin County.
4. Does not duplicate existing services or programs.
5. Collaborates and partners with other agencies.
6. Clearly identifies financial need.
7. Services address essential community need.
8. Identifies an outcome-based evaluation plan (performance measures).
9. Presents accurate budgets and financial reports.
10. Identifies other funding partners.
11. Application is complete, clear and concise.
