The City Forester manages the Natural Resource Program including open spaces, park, and riparian areas and responsible for land stewardship through weed management and healthy forest practices. City of Aspen citizens have a strong commitment to the environment, and recognize that environmental protection is directly related to protecting human health and maintaining a high quality of life. The City has many programs that enhance and protect the land, the water, and the air, from pollution prevention to wildlife habitat enhancement.
