Basic traffic accidents may be released as soon as the officer has completed the report and it has been approved and processed by the Records department. Accident reports can be obtained in two ways:
- Through Docview: This is an internet site which allows access to traffic accident reports in a more efficient manner. The fee for accident reports obtained online from Docview is $10.00 per report.
- Directly from the Aspen Police Department: Individuals who do not have access to the internet may submit a completed Request for Report Copy form to the APD Records Department. The fee for accident reports obtained at the APD Records Office is $12.00 per report.
