Welcome to the Pitkin County Vehicle and Equipment Online Auction

• All items are posted online the first Wednesday of every month, and will go off 8 days later on a Thursday.  Item closing dates and times are posted below.
  
• Notice of Award will be sent to highest bidder via email, and an email will be sent to all other bidders with end confirmation
• Winner has 8 days from the item end date to pickup and pay for their item; after the 8 days Pitkin County has the authority to re-post the item for sale, or keep the item, and penalize the winner that did not pick up their item

• All Vehicle/Equipment Bids must increase by $200 increments
• All other item bids must increase by $5 increments

~IMPORTANT~

If a bid is placed during the final 5 minutes of an auction, the end time will automatically extend for additional 5 minutes. This will continue until no bids are placed during the last five minutes.

Think of it like a live auction: When the auctioneer is wrapping things up for an item, a person might make a bid at the last moment. The auctioneer then asks if anyone else would like to make a higher bid, essentially extending the auction until everyone has had a chance to make their final bid on the item.
