Purchasing duties include:
- procuring supplies, services, and construction at the least expense to the city,
- to obtain full and open competition on all purchases and sales,
- explore bulk purchasing options,
- secure the maximum efficiency in budgeting and accounting, to endeavor to make purchases of recycled materials and other supplies that preserve the environment and minimize energy consumption for their production or use.
