Who We Are
The Pitkin County Sheriff's Office has a Public Information Officer either on duty or on call 24/7. Additionally, each sworn Deputy assumes the role of Public Information Officer on incidents that do not require a full Command and General staff.

Press releases are disseminated by the Aspen/Pitkin County Communications Center via email. They are released in PDF and Microsoft Word formats. In addition, press releases will be available within 24 hours on the Press Releases page of this website. Any questions pertaining to information contained within a press release should be made using one of the two methods listed above.
