Volunteers Needed for Local Stages of USA Pro Cycling Challenge
Aspen, CO – May 30, 2013 – Be a part of the exciting USA Pro Cycling Challenge August 19 and 20, 2013 when 16 teams of professional cyclists race in Aspen and Snowmass. Volunteers are needed both days for a variety of positions including race course marshals, hospitality, ambassadors and more. All volunteers will receive a commemorative t-shirt, information and the opportunity to share what Aspen/Snowmass has to offer our many guests. This is the third year that Aspen has been chosen to be part of the USA Pro Challenge. The USA Pro Challenge is the largest spectator event in the history of Colorado and continues to set records in professional cycling by taking the world's best riders to unprecedented elevations, providing heart pounding excitement and drama for all seven days. This year’s race begins with the Aspen/Snowmass circuit on Monday, August 19. This is an incredible opportunity to view the world’s best riders from many locations. On Tuesday, August 20 the USA Pro Challenge departs Aspen at 10:30 a.m. heading over Independence Pass to Breckenridge. The racers works their way through Colorado passing through Steamboat Springs, Beaver Creek, Vail, Loveland and Fort Collins toward the finish in Denver on August 25 after riding more than 683 miles in 7 days on 1 inch of rubber.
