What is a roundabout?
Our modern roundabout is a roadway intersection with one-way circulation around a central island. Entering traffic yields to circulating traffic. The result is safer and quicker than a signalized intersection.
Can larger vehicles such as trucks and buses use the roundabout?
Yes! The roundabout path is 30 feet wide (more than two traffic lanes) and is designed to handle trucks, buses and other vehicles.
What about pedestrians and cyclists?
The roundabout includes a pedestrian underpass on Highway 82 and crosswalks on Castle Creek and Maroon Creek Road to provide safe passage without having to enter the roundabout.
