The Aspen Alps has been ZGreen certified since March 2008. Built in 1963, the Alps is an 83-unit complex with eight buildings on 6.5 acres. Approximately 55 condominiums are available to renting guests, while about 28 are used exclusively by the owners. The Aspen Alps is located next to a natural area and has 26 indigenous species on the property. The property also features an extensive system of pedestrian trails. The Aspen Alps is the first condominium complex in Aspen to be ZGreen certified.

Showers in Aspen Alps' guest rooms are fitted with bulk dispensers helping to reduce waste produced by miniature bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. 

The Aspen Alps recycling center includes recycling guidelines in both English and Spanish.
