The City and County Planning and Zoning Commissions have been meeting since early 2009 to complete the update to the Aspen Area Community Plan. A draft of the plan is available here: http://www.aspencommunityvision.com/page_47.
This isn't the end of the public process though, which has already involved more than 1,000 members of the Aspen community. There will now be small and large groups meetings, opportunities to comment on blogs and Facebook, as well as public hearings in front of City Council and the Board of County Commissioners.
It may seem like a daunting process as a member of the public, but we encourage you to find a way that is comfortable to you to participate. If that's a small group meeting, or just posting your thoughts online, that's great. We want to hear from YOU.
