Aspen and Vail Law Enforcement Participate in Exchange

ASPEN, CO - 01/22/2010 – Three law enforcement representatives from the Aspen Police Department are in Vail through Jan. 24 to participate in an information-sharing exchange program between the resort communities. Officers Rick Magnuson and Gregg Cole and a community safety officer Vanessa Olson are participating in “ride-alongs,” briefings and other regular tasks assigned to Vail’s sworn officers and code enforcement officers. During this same period, Vail code enforcement officer Penny Harpe and police officers Ryan Millbern and Mike Bindle are shadowing officers here in Aspen over a four-day period. The exchange is the first of its kind between the two organizations.

People v. Estevez (a.k.a. Sheen) Jan. 20 Motion Hearing Continued

ASPEN, CO - 01/19/2010 – In response to a motion filed by Brooke Mueller’s attorney to 9th Judicial District Court Chief Judge James Boyd, the Jan. 20 motion hearing to modify the protection order has been continued. The motion requested that Ms. Mueller be allowed to appear telephonically due to a medical issue. Judge Boyd denied the motion, however has granted a continuance until Friday, Jan 22 at 10AM.

ASPEN, CO - 01/19/2010 – 9th Judicial Court Judge James Boyd has issued a Decorum Order for all proceeding in the People of The State of Colorado vs. Carlos Irwin Estevez. The Decorum Order does apply to the Wednesday, January 20, 2010 appearance of Carlos Irwin Estevez, also known as Charlie Sheen, at 9AM for a motion hearing to modify a mandatory protection order at the Pitkin County Courthouse.
