Local Man Found Deceased Inside Residence

Pitkin County, Colorado – April 16, 2012 – On Monday, April 16, at approximately 12:05 in the afternoon, the Aspen/Pitkin County Combined Communications Center received a call of a man unconscious and not breathing inside a home in the Twin Ridge subdivision. Responding deputies from the Pitkin County Sheriff's office, along with members of Aspen Ambulance confirmed that the man was deceased.

Shots fired at the Woody Creek Plaza

Pitkin County, Colorado – 04/05/12 – At approximately 4:00 p.m. on the evening of Wednesday, April 4th, Pitkin County deputies were dispatched to the Woody Creek Plaza on several reports of shots fired. Deputies were told an intoxicated Woody Creek man had fired several gunshots outside of his home, and then retreated inside.

Basalt, and Carbondale, is imposing open fire restrictions due to the unseasonably warm
weather and lack of moisture. The fuel moisture content of trees, grass and brush is
significantly low and at risk of a devastating fire.
