Body of David Morano Successfully Recovered

Pitkin County, Colorado, September 14, 2011 - On Wednesday September 14, 2011 atapproximately 0745 hours 16 members of Mountain Rescue Aspen and the Pitkin County Sheriff’s Office resumed the recovery of deceased hiker, David Morano. Morano, a 41 year old male from Dillon, Colorado fell 200-300 feet on September 10, 2011 while climbing at least two of the peaks in the Pyramid Peak area. Pyramid Peak is located southwest of Aspen, Colorado in the Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness.

Pitkin County, Colorado - September 12, 2011 On Saturday September 10, 2011 a climber fell approximately 200-300 feet near Pyramid Peak in the Thunder Pyramid  area, located in Pitkin County, Colorado. The deceased climber is identified as David Morano, a 41 year old male who had been living in Dillon, Colorado.
