Pitkin County, Colorado October, 30, 2011 - The Pitkin County Sheriff’s Office and the Aspen Police Department wish to encourage residents and visitors of Pitkin County to lock their cars when left unattended. Additionally, drivers should not leave their keys inside an unattended car.

Pitkin County,Colorado – October 20, 2011 – At 10:12 a.m. on Thursday, October 20, 2011,the Aspen Pitkin County Communications Center received a report of an unresponsive male at the BRB Campground in Pitkin County. The BRB Campground is located at approximately mile marker 60 on Highway 133 between the towns of Carbondale and Redstone.

Pitkin County Clerk and Recorder Janice K. Vos Caudill announced today that she will grant Marilyn Marks’ request under the Colorado Open Records Act (“CORA”) to inspect five to ten anonymous voted ballots cast in the 2010 General Election.

Late in the afternoon on Friday, October 7, 2011, Judge Brian Whitney of the Denver District Court issued an order denying Secretary of State Scott Gessler’s motion for a preliminary injunction to prohibit Debra Johnson, Clerk and Recorder of the City and County of Denver, from sending mail ballots for the 2011 Coordinated Election to Denver electors designated “Inactive – Failed to Vote” (“IFTV”).
