May is Month of the Young Child
May is Month of the Young Child in Aspen, and the City is promoting it with a children’s parade as well as a parent night at the Yellow Brick.

Kids First is hosting Month of the Young Child Parent Night on Tuesday, May 18, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Yellow Brick at 215 N. Garmisch. It will be a picnic potluck dinner.

There will be small group lectures from 5:30 to 6:30 for parents on topics such as summer first aid, and childcare will be available for children 2 and older while parents attend the lecture of their choice. Call 970-920-5363 for more information. Please bring a dish to share and a blanket to enjoy dinner outside in the park.

The Month of the Young Child Children’s Parade will be Friday, May 21, at 10 a.m. Children and their parents should meet in front of Boogie’s to participate in the parade. The parade will end at the fountain in front of the Wheeler Opera House. Cookies and juice will be provided for all parade participants.
