Estevez to be Arraigned Monday in Pitkin County Court

ASPEN, CO - 02/03/2010 – On Monday February 8, 2010 Carlos Irwin Estevez, also known as
Charlie Sheen is scheduled to appear in Pitkin County District Court at 2:15 pm. Ninth Judicial
Court Judge James Boyd will advise Mr. Estevez of the charges against him. Estevez, 44, of
Encino California, was arrested by the Aspen Police Department on December 25, 2009 for
Second Degree Assault, a class four felony, Menacing, a class five felony and Criminal Mischief,
a class one misdemeanor. The charges were coupled with a domestic violence component.
Along with the arraignment, Judge Boyd will also hear a motion to modify the Mandatory
Protection Order that has been in place since the arrest. Estevez’ wife Brooke Mueller is required
to be present for the hearing.

 


The Galena Street Circle (on the west side of the courthouse) will be closed to the public
beginning at 7:00 am and only people with courthouse or law enforcement business will be
allowed inside. Twenty of the available sixty seats inside the courtroom are reserved for media
professionals who have obtained positions through the lottery which was finalized in January.
Screening will begin at 1:00 pm.

 


Judge Boyd has issued a Decorum Order for all proceedings in the People of The State of
Colorado vs. Carlos Irwin Estevez. All devices capable of taking, recording, or broadcasting visual
images or sounds and phones, computers, and devices capable of communicating from inside
