The City of Aspen has set
aside resources this year to improve the Rio Grande Recycling Center in Aspen
and is continually seeking public input on the project.
“We know the site needs help with drainage and paving, as well as a general
sprucing up, but what in particular would people like to see there?” asked Lee
Cassin, director of the City’s Environmental Health Department. “We hope to
hear from the public again at an upcoming council meeting as well as
electronically.”
The City has created a
general survey for members of the public to share their thoughts
electronically. The survey is posted here.
City Council will be discussing the project at a work session on Tuesday, April
27, at 4:30 p.m. (Council Chambers, Aspen City Hall, 130 S. Galena). The public
is welcome to share their comments at that meeting in person as well.
