City Sponsors Electronic Recycling Event
It’s time to clear out old electronics and recycle responsibly. The City of Aspen is sponsoring an electronics collection event on May 21 and 22 for both businesses and residents.
Residents can drop off their electronics in the Rio Grande Parking Lot (next to Community Bank) on Saturday, May 22, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fees range from $2 for small electronics like laptops to $10 for televisions and monitors over 20 inches.
The City of Aspen is underwriting half of the recycling fees for this service to encourage proper recycling of electronics.
Businesses can call in advance to set up collection of their electronics on Friday, May 21, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Commercial recycling fees are [Article].19 per pound. Call John Miller to schedule pickup at 303-667-8555.
