Body Suspected to be Missing Man
Agents from the Colorado Bureau of Investigation arrived late Monday on the scene of a body located Monday afternoon in Aspen under the Maroon Creek Bridge.
The body is suspected to be that of missing Snowmass Village resident George Aldrich, who has been missing since the evening of Nov. 27.
The body was located by off-duty personnel from Mountain Rescue – Aspen, who were not acting in an official capacity, but were following up on a pledge to keep working to find Aldrich’s body. The area where the body was found had previously been searched. While positive identification has not been made, circumstantial evidence points to this being Aldrich’s body.
His family has been notified of this discovery. There was no immediate indication of a cause of death. Aldrich was reported missing on the morning of November 29, when the Snowmass Village Police Department received a report that Aldrich failed to show up at work.
