(Aspen,CO) Five newly elected or reelected Pitkin County government officials will be sworn into office next week. The Oath of Office ceremony is set for noon on Tuesday, January 11th on the steps of the Pitkin County Courthouse.

Officials to be sworn in include newly elected Sheriff, Joe Disalvo and County Commissioner Rob Ittner. Reelected officials including County Commissioner Rachel Richards, Assessor Tom Isaac and Clerk and Recorder Janice Vos-Caudill will also be sworn in Tuesday.

Disalvo takes the helm of the Sheriff’s Department after 25 years in law enforcement in Pitkin County, four of them as Undersheriff. Rob Ittner joins the Board of County Commissioners for his first four-year term, while Commissioner Rachel Richards enters her second term. Clerk and Recorder Janice Vos-Caudill will enter her second official term. Vos-Caudill was appointed to the office in November 2005 and has run unopposed in two elections since then. The longest reigning elected government official to be sworn in on Tuesday will be Assessor Tom Isaac who has held the post for five terms covering 20 years.
