HOA Seminar

The Aspen/Pitkin County Housing Authority, along with the Housing Frontier Group, is sponsoring an educational seminar for homeowner associations on October 7.

“This is the third in a series of seminars that cover the fundamentals of assessment collections in community associations,” said Cindy Christensen, operations manager for APCHA. “This particular seminar will focus on the obligation of homeowners to pay assessments, the obligation of boards to collect assessments, the importance of governing documents in collections, and the legal options available for collection of delinquent assessments.”

Each attendee will be provided with a model collections policy that can be customized for their association.

The seminar on Oct. 7 will be held at two different times. The first will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and the second will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Both sessions will be held in City Council Chambers, City Hall, 130 South Galena.

The speakers will be Loura Sanchez, managing partner, and Molly Foley-Healy, attorney, both with the law firm of HindmanSanchez P.C. in Denver.
