Autopsy Performed Today

An autopsy was performed today on the body of Quinn Issiah Evering. Results of the autopsy were inconclusive. Further toxicological and microbiological tests will be performed in the coming weeks.


Pitkin County, Colorado – July 19, 2011 – An autopsy was performed today on the body of Quinn Evering in Grand Junction,Colorado at the request of the Pitkin County Coroner’s Office. The results of the examination are inconclusive at this time. Further toxicological and microbiological tests will be conducted. However, “results from these new tests are not expected for a couple of weeks” according to the Pitkin County Coroner’s Office. There are no suspicious circumstances being considered as part of the investigation.

 

At approximately 2:55 p.m. on Monday, July 18, 2011, the Aspen/Pitkin County Communications Center received a 911 call reporting that a 16-year-old boy was“semi-conscious” in the upstairs gym at the Aspen High School. Paramedics from Aspen Ambulance, officers from the Aspen Police Department and deputies from the Pitkin County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene. The individual was transported to the Aspen Valley Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 4:12p.m.

 

CORRECTION TO YESTERDAY’S PRESS RELEASE:

The spelling of the deceased’s last name was incorrect. The correct spelling of the last name is Quinn Issiah Evering.
