Pyramid Peak Recovery
Pitkin County, Colorado - September 12, 2011 On Saturday September 10, 2011 a climber fell approximately 200-300 feet near Pyramid Peak in the Thunder Pyramid area, located in Pitkin County, Colorado. The deceased climber is identified as David Morano, a 41 year old male who had been living in Dillon, Colorado. The investigation of this incident is still under way.
Recovery operations are scheduled to take place on Wednesday September 14, 2011 at 0700 hours by Mountain Rescue Aspen and the Pitkin County Sheriff’s Office.
