(Aspen, CO) Assistant Director of Aviation Administration, David Ulane has been recognized by airport executives in the region. Ulane received the “Aviation Excellence Award” during a recent American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) regional conference.
The award recognizes airport management professionals, other than the person having primary responsibility for the airport, who have “gone out of their way and given substantial extra effort to ensure the promotion, operations, maintenance or development of aviation and/or the airport. The recipient is a person of exceptional qualities who may perform management, supervisory, operational, engineering, planning or maintenance functions in the second or other level of the airport organization.”
“I am extremely proud of Dave and his accomplishments in our community and in the aviation industry,” said Airport Director, Jim Elwood.
Before working for the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport Ulane was Airport Manager in St. George, Utah. According to Elwood, Ulane has been in the aviation industry for 20 years.
