Air Quality Advisory for Aspen Area

Aspen, Colorado – March 6, 2012– The State of Colorado has issued an air advisory from noon March 6th through noon March 7th. Aspen is included in the areas expected to be affected. Areas of blowing dust will cause particulate matter to climb into the Unhealthy-for-Sensitive-Groups category in many areas. If visibility is less than 10 miles in blowing dust then the following precautions apply. People with heart and lung disease, older adults, and children should reduce prolonged or heavy indoor or outdoor exertion. The dust is moving from Arizona and Utah.
