(Aspen, CO) The Aspen/Pitkin County Airport has filled the position of Assistant Aviation Director of Administration. One-time airport employee in Aspen, Brian Grefe is currently Director of Operations at the Duluth Airport Authority in Duluth, MN where he has been employed since 2007.
“We are very excited to have Brian aboard,” said Director of Aviation, Jim Elwood. “We are in the final stages of a 20-year master planning process and will have numerous key projects before us in the coming years. Brian’s experience with master planning, contract management and financial planning will be very valuable to help us keep the airport running smoothly.” Elwood said.
Grefe was previously employed at the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport in 2006/2007. His position at that time was Operations Specialist III. He has also served as Manager of the Sky Harbor Airport in Duluth.
The Assistant Aviation Director’s position in Aspen involves overseeing the administrative, financial, and customer service functions at the airport in addition to security and ground transportation.
Grefe will begin in the position on April 23rd.
