Transit Open Houses for BRT and CDOT Projects

Aspen, Colorado – March 29, 2012– An open house on two transportation related construction projects will take place April 2, 2012 from 4:30-6pm in the basement of Aspen City Hall. One topic is the Aspen Area Signal Improvement Project. This is a CDOT project to upgrade traffic signals from the Aspen Airport to Galena Street in Aspen. The project will impact some parking spaces in the downtown core and may impact traffic and pedestrian movement at times. Representatives from CDOT and the project contractor will be on hand to answer questions. The other open house topic is construction for RFTA’s Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project. Construction will begin this month on stations and road improvements between Glenwood Springs and Buttermilk.
