City Offers Free Beginner Cycling Class

Aspen, Colorado – April 4, 2012– The City of Aspen Transportation Department is offering a free beginner cycling class in an effort to inspire people to commute via bicycle. The class is perfect for those new to cycling or who need a refresher of rules of the road and basic cycling skills. The first of two classes is Wednesday, April 11th from 5:30-7:30pm in the Rio Grande Room. Participants must bring bike, gloves, water bottle and helmet. The first 30 minutes will be classroom time followed by practical time practicing skills such as bunny hopping over curbs, balance, turning tight corners and more.
