Aspen, Colorado – April 24, 2012– The City of Aspen is sponsoring a prescription drug take-back day on Saturday, April 28 from 10am-2pm at the Pitkin County Courthouse in Aspen.  This is a free and anonymous event.  Police will accept: tablets, capsules, and all other solid medications.  They will not accept: solutions, injectables, syringes and aerosols.  Call 920-5040 to schedule an early drop-off.

Other drop-off locations from 10am-2pm on the 28th include Basalt Police Department and the Church at Redstone.

Turning in unwanted prescription drugs helps keep our rivers clean because they are disposed of in an environmentally sensitive way.
