The City of Aspen is taking this summer and fall of 2012 to
improve the tee box area at the Aspen Golf Club Driving Range. These improvements will enhance the quality
and size of the driving range tee area, while also adding a sand bunker to the
west side of the tee area to add the option of hitting range balls out of the
bunker at a far distance. These
improvements allows access for more users at one given time to use the driving
range, also permitting the golf course staff to have more options to set the
golfer location in the tee area.
The City will begin moving truck loads of top soil / turf grass
periodically throughout the summer and fall of 2012. The truck circulation will impact users of
the Chatfield Trail during standard working hours. Although the traffic will not be
overwhelming, we ask all trail users to use caution during this time while
using the Chatfield Trail.
