Back by popular demand, the Aspen Saturday Market will be making its first-ever appearance in December.
On December 12 and December 19, food and artisan vendors will set up shop in Rio Grande Plaza (above the Rio Grande Parking Garage behind the Library) from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the Saturday Market Winterfest. Colorado grown or produced items will be on sale in time for your holiday shopping.
“We’re very excited to bring the market back for this limited engagement,” said Kathy Strickland, market coordinator. “We hope it’s a huge success and would like to continue it in future years if attendance is good this year.”
Also, applications for the 2010 Aspen Saturday Market are due to the City of Aspen by Nov. 30 at 5 p.m. Applications are available here. To be eligible, vendors must sell items that are Colorado made, grown or produced. Brokered items are not accepted.
The Aspen Saturday Market was approved by Aspen City Council in 1998 to provide a diverse marketplace for the Aspen community and its visitors. 2010 will be its twelfth year.
