Local Musicians Perform at the Airport

(Aspen, CO) Well-known local musicians are filling the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport terminal with music this holiday season. Every day between December 21sr and 31st travelers will be treated to a variety of live music including guitar, piano and fiddle.

“We began inviting local musicians to play in the airport café last summer and it went over really well with our guests,” said Pitkin County Community Relations Coordinator, Pat Bingham. “We think it makes traveling in and out of our airport a little more enjoyable and maybe even a little less stressful especially during weather delays.”

Musicians currently being featured at the airport include Singer/songwriter John Sommers and Anne Federowicz on guitar and fiddle, singer/songwriter/humorist Dan Sadowsky on guitar, guitarist David Harding and former Crystal Palace pianist, David Dyer.

The holiday schedule is as follows:

12/21   David Dyer      11 to 2

12/22   David Dyer      10 to 1

12/23   David Dyer      11 to 2

12/24   John Sommers and Anne Federowicz  11 to 2

12/25   David Harding 2 to 5

12/26   David Harding 11 to 2

12/28   David Harding 4 to 7

12/29   John Sommers and Anne Federowicz  11 to 2

12/31   John Sommers and Anne Federowicz  11 to 2

After the holidays there will be music twice a week at the airport on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

“We invite the public to come out and enjoy the music even if they’re not traveling,” Bingham said. “Remember, the first hour of parking at the airport is free!”
