(Aspen, CO) Improvements in the way we get onto and off of Highway 82 at the Airport and Airport Business Center are the topic of a public meeting this week. The meeting is one of a series intended to conclude with a proposed “Access Control Plan” between the City of Aspen, Pitkin County and Colorado Department of Transportation.
“As the Airport Business Center and Airport develop and re-develop it’s important for us to be proactive in how vehicles and pedestrians get into and out of these areas as safely and efficiently as possible,” said Pitkin County Engineer, G.R. Fielding. “Our hope is that transportation needs will be considered on equal footing with commercial and residential development needs and proposals,” Fielding said.
