New OWTS Regulations - Effective March 8, 2008
Systems Contractor and Systems Cleaner Licensing
Systems Contractors and Systems Cleaners must be licensed in Pitkin County. Individuals must
pass an examination and receive a score of 80% or better to be considered passing.
We have teamed up with Eagle County on the Systems Contractor test, so this test needs only to be
successfully taken once in order to obtain a license in both counties.
— If you have passed a Systems Contractor test in Eagle
County after January 1, 2006, and have been given a license, all that is required is that you
provide us with a copy of your Eagle County license, and complete and submit the Pitkin County
application form and payment. You must also complete and submit an
Affidavit
verifying your
lawful presence in the United States and present one of the accepted forms of identification for
review by the Department. If you are submitting your application by mail, your Affidavit must be
accompanied by a notarized copy of your identification.
— If you have not passed a Systems Contractor test in Eagle
County, and are not currently licensed, it is required that you become licensed by taking the
test and submit it with a completed application form and payment. You must also complete and
submit an
Affidavit
verifying your lawful presence in the United States and present one of the
accepted forms of identification for review by the Department. If you are submitting your
application by mail, your Affidavit must be accompanied by a notarized copy of your
identification.
