The Pitkin County Library is a popular lending library governed by a Board of Trustees appointed by the Pitkin County Board of County
Commissioners and funded by a tax mill levy. The library collection holds 85,000 books, 2,500 CD's and a growing collection of books on tape,
books on CD and videos. In addition the library subscribes to 250 magazines and newspapers. An Interlibrary Loan service gives patrons access to
materials not owned by the Pitkin County Library. Subscriptions to a number of online databases provide access to magazine and newspaper
articles and reference information either within the library or remotely by using your library card number.Visit the Pitkin County Library Web Page
