Historic Preservation Commission
MUST be city resident. To recognize, protect and promote the retention and use of landmarks and landmark districts in the city and to promote awareness of Aspen's unique heritage. The HPC makes recommendations on historic designations, historic inventory updates, demolition and/or rebuilding on a historically designated site.

Commercial Core and Lodging Commission (CCLC)

Housing Authority Board
MUST be city resident. Makes recommendations on housing guidelines, affordable housing action plans, any affordable housing master plans adopted by the city; reviews specific development proposals initiated by the City or County; assists the city and county to define the need, planning, undertaking, construction, operation or financing of low, moderate and middle income housing; assists the city and county, upon request, to purchase, acquire, obtain, options, hold, lease, sell or otherwise dispose of any real or personal property; and enforces all aspects of the affordable housing program.

Open Space Aquistion Board
MUST be city resident. Review open space elements of comprehensive master and areas plans including the 1999 Aspen Area Community Plan and the City of Aspen Greenfrastructure Plan. Establish relationships with local, regional and trusts to more effectively discharged Board responsibilities. Recommends acquisition of fee interests in real property by expenditures for the Open Space Fund.
Meetings: Meetings take place four times per annum.
