The Aspen Environmental Health Department monitors air and water quality; inspects restaurants, groceries, and daycare centers; takes a leadership role in addressing global warming, promotes recycling, rewards businesses that demonstrate environmental excellence, works to prevent West Nile Virus, and evaluates other environmental health issues.
