Property Tax

Although the City of Aspen does have a property tax, the City does NOT collect these property taxes but only sets the mill levy each year to be included in Pitkin County's total property tax assessments (which include mill levies from all organizations funded by property taxes) to each property owner. In other words, the City of Aspen's property taxes are assessed by the Pitkin County Assessor's Office and are collected by the Pitkin County Treasurer's Office. Please contact them directly for any questions concerning calculations, amounts due, due dates, assessed valuations, etc.
