Map of the Month

Welcome to our new section “Map of the Month”. GIS will use this area to describe a current GIS project on or showcase a new map for our web site visitors.

Did you know Aspen has six Sister Cities? These similar, yet diverse, mountain communities are located in both hemispheres and on five continents.

This month's map illustrates Aspen's sister cities on a global shaded-relief image. Other information includes the city's logos, distances from Aspen, elevation, and land cover data.
