The Parks and Recreation Department provides maintenance, design/development and management services for the parks,
athletic fields, pedestrian/bicycle and Nordic trails, the downtown Pedestrian Mall, open space and recreational facilities and
programs of the City of Aspen.
Whether you seek a quiet neighborhood park with the sound of rushing water, a large open
space with mountain vistas, or world-class recreational facilities, the City of Aspen Parks System has something to offer you.
The Aspen Parks and Recreation Department has made a commitment to its visitors to provide a diversity of experiences which
all can enjoy. The natural beauty that serves as a backdrop to each of our parks, recreational facilities, and open spaces will
inspire you as you explore our wonderful system. The main goal in design and layout of our parks system is to incorporate and
emulate the natural surroundings. Aspen welcomes you to recreate and participate in this unique experience that you will see
and feel everywhere you look.
The Parks Department is located at 585 Cemetery Lane on the Municipal Golf Course.
The Aspen Recreation Department is located in the Red Brick Arts and Recreation Center at 110 E. Hallam St.
